How is your Bee Venom sourced?Updated 9 months ago
We understand how important it is to ensure the ethical treatment of bees during the venom collection process, and this is something we take very seriously at Rodial.
In the collection process used by our trusted suppliers, a special frame is placed at the entrance of the hive. When bees come into contact with this frame, they receive a mild electric pulse, which prompts them to sting a glass sheet. As the glass does not allow their stingers to penetrate, the stingers do not become trapped. This is vital because bees are only harmed when their stingers become lodged in a surface and are pulled out when they fly away. Since this does not happen on the glass sheet, the bees remain unharmed and can safely withdraw their stingers.
The process is carefully controlled to minimise any stress, allowing the bees to continue their natural behaviours without suffering long-term harm. This method is considered one of the most humane and effective ways to collect bee venom, ensuring the bees' well-being throughout.
