Is there any time that I can skip SPF?Updated 17 days ago

It's generally recommended to wear SPF every day, regardless of the weather or season, as UV rays can penetrate clouds and windows. However, there are specific situations where you might consider skipping SPF:

  • Low UV Index: If the UV index is 2 or below, the risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure is minimal for most people. However, if you are targeting signs of ageing, have very fair skin, use Retinol or AHAs, or are prone to concerns exacerbated by UV exposure like pigmentation, it's still wise to apply SPF all year around.

  • At night: There’s no need to wear SPF at night when there’s no UV radiation. Your nighttime skincare routine should focus on repair and hydration.

Despite these exceptions, incorporating SPF into your daily routine is a good habit to maintain for overall skin health and protection against cumulative UV damage.
